   M.Reagan Singh,born on 22nd October 1987 and a resident of Kakching Moirangthem Leikai,Ibudhou Khamlangba Pareng,Kakching,Manipur,is the youngest son of M.Kunjabihari and M.Bino Devi.He has two brothers and one sister.His education began in Martin Grammar School,a local school at Kakching.His class roll-number bears an interesting pattern of reducing to half with each successive class.The class-I roll-number being 8 was halved to 4 in class II,then to 2 in class III and then to 1 in class IV.From class IV onwards,he held the rank 1 of his class upto class IX.Since childhood,he loved playing.He actively played local child-games like Athali,marble,keku lotpi,toys,etc.,which were popular local child-games in Manipur.He won a number of prizes every year in the local sports competition held during the five days of Yaoshang(Holi),a popular festival in Manipur.He was renown in the folk for his excellency in chess as a young boy,despite having no mass recognition.From class V to VIII,he received the State Merit Scholarship selected through an examination conducted by the Deptt.of Education(S),Manipur on the syllabus of class-V prescribed by the Board of Secondary Education,Manipur(BOSEM).He was successful to renew the scholarship after class VIII till class X by successfully passing the same examination of class VIII.

   A little grown-up,the prime of his life came into play.He was known in the school to each and every student,juniors and K.G's due to his mass-interaction ridden with humorous nature.At that time,when he was in class-IX,his mother died of stroke one dream-like morning.The unexpected groom situation saddened him enormously,but he resisted to affect his education..He was actively playing cricket,football and table-tennis at this age with the participation of a number of local tournaments.His six-years' domination of the class came to an end,when his close-friend Subhash snatched the rank 1 in class X.In class X,a scandal,which he spearheaded,rocked the school.It was a scandal of deflating cycle tires.The cycles were left parked blocking the aisle of the cycle shed when he,along with a few friends,being late,hurried up to school by cycle.The nondisciplinary parking of the cycles provoked him to lead his friends to puncture the cycles.In an unusual assembly held in the recreation period the very day,the teacher announced the incident.He voluntarily came out as the perpetrator of the puncture.The teacher bitterly scolded and flopped him and his accomplices in front of all the students.The incident,which was claimed as "not punitive" by the eyewitnesses,gave a turning-point in his life.He was one of the leading students of his batch that strove to mend the weaknesses of the school by constant complaint.The school excursion at Shillong(Meghalaya),organized by his active participation,was the school's first excursion outside Manipur.The name of the school was put to the limelight when he became the first ever position holder of the school in High School Leaving Certificate Examination,conducted by the BOSEM in the year 2005.He stood 7th position.The irony in the air was that the school laid no hope of his performance because of his awfully bad performance in the school exam.His achievement,that was the fame of his town also,was also an unbelievable surprise to the people of Kakching.
