I am a Professional Animal Scientist with a specialization in horses as well as a breed specialist of the Chilean Horse breed. I have worked in the international Thoroughbred horse industry for 32 years and the last five years I have been writing a book about the Chilean Horse as well as contributing articles about the breed. I am also working as an advisor and bloodstock agent for clients importing Chilean Horses into North America and Europe.

For 20 years I was in high level Thoroughbred horse management in Kentucky and Virginia in USA and Panama. I worked in nutritional program analysis throughout Latin America dealing in tropical and temperate countries. I also worked as a commercial race horse trainer in the Club Hipico de Santiago which is the leading racetrack in Chile.

My professional experience also includes 8 years as a feedmill stockholder, general manager and nutritionist; as well as a owner/manager of a farm that had baby beef complete confinement feedlots, commercial Suffolk sheep production, commercial three breed cross swine production and purebred swine (Duroc, Landrace, Spotted China and Yorkshire) production with frozen artificial insemination. I presently have a Texel sheep flock in Kentucky and I have been a Texel breeder since it first became available in the USA. I was the first president of the North American Texel Sheep Breeders.

I am presently a columnist for www.rodeochileno.cl, www.tierradecaballos.cl and a contributor to www.justacriollo.com as well as Hombres y Caballos magazine and Corraleros magazine. I have written articles for Conquistador magazine, International Thoroughbred Horse magazine and the french magazine Western Horse, among others.
