Phoenix Elvis Nicholson (born 2 August 1957) is an independent American author who has written since the age of six. Born in Washington, DC, his family was rooted in the Maryland suburb of District Heights. (The house, located at 3212 Lorring Drive, shared its property with both District Heights and Forestville, as evidenced by a sign in their front yard welcoming drivers to DH. It was later rezoned and listed as 2514 Lorring.) Encouraged by his high school experiences in Drama, (of which he played no small part in creating its availability as a 3 year elective), he began writing in earnest, entering numerous contests on the local level.

Soon after graduation, he enlisted in the United States Army, serving from 1976-1985, gaining invaluable insights into personal dynamics. After 2 re-enlistments & 3 good conduct discharges from the military, Phoenix became familiar with all aspects of law enforcement's rainbow. From being a federal security guard to driving a dispatcher's desk and sitting behind a cruiser's steering wheel, life saw him also enjoy a myriad of other side jobs. Now residing with his 2nd spouse, 2nd child and a feline menagerie, he reads avidly and listens to an eclectic music collection that invigorates creativity.

His books are featured on Amazon.com and his website PhoenixNicholson.weebly.com.

Some of his favorite titles include Hobart and Appalachian Phantoms . In 2018, he began writing several new stories, including Guest Services, Pulpit and a memoir of his Uncle, tentatively titled No Filter. He can be reached via his Weebly website's contact page, and encourages readers to look at the free sneak peeks of his books sold through Amazon.
