Hello!

A bit about me:

I'm primarily interested in working on the two WikiProjects listed. I want to contribute because I want people to be well-informed so they can make responsible choices, or just understand health events so they can better cope. Health/medicine is a key knowledge domain that for various reasons traditionally hasn't been addressed in much detail in school. As such, I'm writing for a "general audience", not medical professionals. I've been working in a patient education/advocacy capacity for 5 years, and I read a good bit, including research.

My other nerdy interests include complex systems theory; educational psychology; race, class & equality issues; the arctic & subarctic, and the history of the exploration of Antarctica; and really anything beautiful, like abstract expressionist art, large-scale architecture, and contemporary photography (such as Thomas Struth or Andreas Gursky)(but I'm not a snob about the art stuff). I actually used to have another username under which I edited some of those articles, but that was a while ago.

Thanks for reading!
