Introduction

I am a senior at York College, City University of New York. I will be earning my bachelor degree in psychology with a minor in sociology. I want to be a social worker child psychologist.

York College in Autumn

I am working with Wikipedia as part of a project for my my I/O Psychology course. I will be learning to edit Wikipedia.

I/O Psychology Class 253

We will focus on leaning to edit information on http://www.wikipedia.org/ Wikipedia] I/O Psychology 253 in our course with Dr. Ashton So far, I have found this course to be challenging, yet interesting.

In this class we will learn

  1. Methods used improve organizations.
  2. The areas in business I/O Psychologist are in high demand.
  3. How I/O Psychologist create productive and healthy work environments for workers.

Wikipedia

I have learned so much about Wkipedia because we have focused on it so much in my I/O Psychology 253 course.

During class a week ago, the professor put on a YouTube video Why Wikipedians are the Weirdest People on the Internet[1]. I learned a lot from the video, and I started to find wikipedia to be interesting.

Some of the things that I have learned is :

  • Editing Wikipedia can be fun
  • Editing Wikipedia can sometimes be hostile
  • There is a club that is reserved for wikipedia editors
