Oh, didn't see you come in. Welcome to my user page!

I am a lifelong Wisconsinite, an architect by trade, and a fan of all things Wisconsin sports. I just celebrated my one-year anniversary as an editor, and a keen interest in the history of Wisconsin high school athletics was my gateway into creating content for the site. After seeing the level of documentation for the high school athletic histories for other states (especially Indiana), I was inspired to make the history of Wisconsin high school athletics as complete and as thorough as I can make it. I've either created new articles or edited existing ones for over 150 high school athletic conferences in Wisconsin, along with creating articles for two organizations that existed prior to merging with the WIAA (the WCIAA and WISAA).

Ultimately, I would love to see somebody inspired by this project as I was to create it; to see what I worked on for Wisconsin and want that for their home state. Whether or not you're that person, I'm happy to assist you in your journey

Current research priorities (as of 28 May 2026)

  • Documentation of single-sport conferences in Wisconsin: My research has been basketball-focused for the most part, as it is usually a good indicator of all-sport membership in a conference and the reason most early conferences were formed. However, some smaller conferences either did not sponsor football, sponsored football only, or sponsored 6-player or 8-player football, especially in the first half of the 20th century. I've documented all of the football-only conferences in Wisconsin that I currently know of, including all of the current ones. I've also done articles for the four current single-sport conferences (not including joint sponsorships, which are covered in the respective articles for each conference) and have completed several hockey conferences from before the all-sport conferences started sponsoring competition.
  • Articles for out-of-state conferences with Wisconsin schools: Over the course of Wisconsin's high school athletic history, there have been a few schools to play in out-of-state conferences, mostly in Michigan's Upper Peninsula but also some in Illinois and the Twin Ports area. So far, I've done articles for two conferences in northern Illinois (Trailblazer and U.S. Grant), two Twin Ports area conferences (Head of the Lakes and Lake Superior) and three in the Upper Peninsula (Gogebic Range, Little Seven and Porcupine Mountain). I've also started a history narrative for the Menominee Range Conference but have not been able to confirm a start date or members before 1949.
  • Articles for select Pennsylvania athletic conferences: As an added bonus, I've started work on some of the current high school athletic conferences in south central Pennsylvania, where my wife's family is located and I have some familiarity with the schools involved. I just completed an article for the Mid-Penn Conference, and will plan on doing articles for the other current conferences in PIAA District 3 (Berks Inter-County League, Commonwealth Christian Athletic Conference, Lancaster-Lebanon League, Tri-Valley League and York-Adams Interscholastic Athletic Association)
  • Conference histories for northwestern Wisconsin: This one has become a lower priority with most of the new information found, but if there are corrections, I'd love to get more information. I have them at a spot I'm comfortable with 99% of the information, and will make updates as new information becomes available.
