The AMATA Corporation PCL (อมตะ คอร์ปอเรชัน) is a Thai industrial estates headquarter in Chonburi, Bangkok, Thailand.[2] The meaning of AMATA for these is "eternity" which mean never die or end. [3] It is also known as AMATA Nakorn. It is established in March 6, 1989 [4]. The company was formed by Vikrom Kromadit[5]

Overview

AMATA Corporation PCL is located between Bangkok and Laem Chabang deep sea port that near the main road of Bangkok to Chonburi.[6] The formal named was “Bangpakong Industrial Park”. The company specializes in planning, developing, managing and marketing integrated industrial estates.[7] It is also considered one of the Asia’s most successful large-scale industrial development regions and the regional finalists for East Asia.[8][9]


Currently AMATA served more than 1,000 factories in 3 locations 1. AMATA Nakorn, Chonburi 2. AMATA City, Rayong and 3. AMATA City, Bien Hoa in 2 countries Thailand and Vietnam that host global clients from industries such as automotive, healthcare, and food and beverages.[10][11] The present register capital is 1,067,000,000.00 baht.[12]The estate has producing around 300,000 jobs for local people.[13] [14] The company slogans is “CREATING CITY, DRIVING ECONOMY” [15].


AMATA Corporation is related to other companies for example industrial estate businesses and utilities group. The Utilities Group has set up 8 companies to operate utility business as follows:

1. Amata B-Grimm Power Ltd. (changed from Amata Power Ltd., on August 26, 2011) in which the company operates a power business that sells electricity and steam both in Thailand and overseas.

2. Amata Water Co., Ltd., (name changed from Amata Quality Water Co., Ltd., on November 21, 2005) produces water products for industrial users.

3. Amata Natural Gas Distribution Co., Ltd., distributes natural gas to industrial users. Amata holds a 20% stake in this company.

4. Amata B-Grimm Power (Rayong) 1 Ltd., produces electricity and steam.

5. Amata B. Grimm Power (Rayong) 2 Ltd., produces electricity and steam.

6. Amata B. Grimm Power 3 Ltd., produces electricity and steam.

7. Amata B. Grimm Power 4 Ltd., produces electricity and steam.

8. Amata B. Grimm Power 5 Ltd., produces electricity and steam.[16]
