I am an economist by training. By definition, that makes me an expert in nothing. Easy proof in that there isn't even a userbox under Profession for economists (just created a vanilla one). If I really have to tag the term "expert" to an area, I guess that would be social network in respect of knowledge engineering and innovation. It was some work which I have spent the past 8-10 years indulging in. Other areas where I may be able to contribute and comment on would be strategic management, intellectual properties, intangible assets management, communications and branding. I have also been working in the Singapore defence sector for more than 10 years. That does not necessary make me an expert in arms and weapons but it does let me understand better, with a first hand perspective of the workings of the industry and the geopolitical situations at play. Having noticed that the Wiki is generally lacking on indigenous subjects, I thought of contributing in some way to building up the archives. Being a Singaporean, I am obviously keen to start with local subjects, interests and companies and will be roaming around to do just that.
