After years of pointing out picky little spelling and grammar mistakes, Debbie Moore decided that enough was enough and started to find a way to fix those little typos.
Debbie, the long time suffering wife of Paul, was utilising her Bachelor of Laws by lovingly pouring over terms and conditions in her job as a Commercial Analyst. As fascinating as this sounds, it actually provided a unique environment for becoming an expert at attention to detail. A certain amount of care is required when constructing legally binding contracts - using the wrong word would, at best, be embarrassing; at worst, disastrous! In addition to this, for some strange reason, the Law Faculty has issues regarding typos in student assessments. Major issues. Therefore this finely honed instinct was consistently picking up typos in tender submissions and technical reports - even the odd legal text book!
Debbie doesn't like making anyone feel bad and won't give anyone a lecture and certainly won't have a go at anyone. What she will do is check your document, suggest changes where you have options and let you know when something is wrong. - Or if your document is on wikipedia and she comes across it, she'll just fix it.
Debbie runs a proofreading business called The Picky Proofreader with her husband Paul, but is somewhat less picky than Paul, and more concerned about how you feel.
