Les was born in the small town of Almonte, Ontario and now lives in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Les started playing music at age 12 when his dad went out and bought Les a couple of drums, for a six pack. A couple of drums later & Les was rockin' to many styles of music and developed a style wanted by many in the industry. He picked up the guitar when he was 16, when a good friend (Dennis St.Micheal) taught Les his first three chords and his very first song, (The Streets of Baltimore, performed by Gram Parsons) Les immediately began to write songs.

Les has written many songs over the last 30 years. Most of his songs, are songs of experience, love, hurt, change and the road, The way other people react and the things that have gone on around him. He's currently familiarizing himself with new digital recording software and Drum Beats on his Mac. Les is currently pitching his songs to music publishers in Canada. Les has played with many acts including Ron McMunn, Red Cedar, The Creditz, Success Without College, The Travelling Troubadours, Men Without Shame and Hickory Wind. His passion is music & the magic that can transpire between fellow musicians & the audience. Some of Les' influences include Steve Earle, Johnny Cash, Elvis Presley, The whole Sun Records thing, Chuck Berry, Buck Owens, , Gram Parsons, The Stones, The Beat Farmers, Jason & The Scorchers.
