I edit under the name JonathanYork. This is a pseudonym. I keep personal details limited per WP:UP and WP:OUTING. If you need something, leave a note on my talk page.

Editing focus

  • Copyediting for clarity and style per WP:MOS.
  • Adding citations and tracking down page-numbered sources per WP:V.
  • Topic areas I tend to watch: Upstate New York history (including Adirondacks), architecture, transport, and technology history.
  • Small maintenance: disambiguation fixes, categories, infobox cleanup, and dead-link repairs.

Contribution approach

  • Reliable sources first; avoid blogs and unsourced claims. Prefer books, journals, reputable news, and archival materials.
  • Keep original research out (WP:NOR). If it isn’t published in a reliable source, it doesn’t go in.
  • Bias toward verifiability over completeness. Unsourced material is trimmed or tagged.

What I don’t edit

  • Biographies of living persons without high-quality sources (WP:BLP).
  • Articles where I have a conflict of interest (WP:COI). If one exists, I disclose it on the talk page and suggest edits there.
