User:Johnmichael9/Filter bubble

I am happy to select this topic for my Wikipedia assignment. I am concerned about filter bubbles because I believe it has caused greater polarization of our society and increased the amount of misinformation and disinformation. The power of tech giants like Google and Facebook and proliferation of search algorithms and filter bubbles have made me pessimistic of the societal benefits of the internet. I hope through academic research we find solutions to ensure the internet is a source of betterment for all of humankind.

I am impressed with the amount of detail already list in this page and the extensive citation list. Generally, I think the article has a neutral tone and includes relevant content. I look forward to find academic resources to add to the article.
