Joe Scrocca is New Jersey based stand up comedian. Joe was born in Cape May County NJ on April 23, 1961. Joe grew up in Wildwood Crest NJ a very famous barrier island resort town. Wildwood NJ is where rock and roll really took hold on the world. Joe's parents Joseph Sr (died 2011) and Delores (maiden name Muziani) (died 2001). Joe has one sister, Ann Marie. Joe's family owned the world famous Wildwood Diner in Wildwood NJ for 41 years (1957-1998). A lot of Joe's comedy comes from his time spent working and hanging in the diner.

Joe has one son, Joseph III (March 1991) with his wife Renee (maiden name Ballinghoff) (died 2014). Joe still lives in South Jersey but he travels all over the country performing. Joe started doing stand up comedy in 2023 with no prior experience in comedy or any area of entertainment. Joe woke up one morning in December in 2023 and wanted something to take up his time as he no longer wanted to date crazy women. Joe decided on stand up comedy and did his first open mic 12/14/2023. Since then Joe has opened for national touring comics including Steve Trevino, Eddie Ifft, Tony Woods and Dat Phan (from Last Comic Standing). Joe did a new comic showcase on 2/10/2025 at Gotham Comedy Club in New York. While Joe was waiting to go on Jim Gaffigan walked in. The host told me Jim would do a set then I would go on. No worries, about 13 months doing stand up and having to follow one of the hottest comics in the world. 5 minutes in to Jims set the host came back and said Jim was going to bring up a friend to do a set. The friend was Jerry Seinfeld. So now I had to make people keep laughing after a combined 40 minutes of Gaffigan and Seinfeld. I did it, I crushed it so I can now say Jim Gaffigan and Jerry Seinfeld opened for me at Gotham.
