MLB 14: The Show is a Major League Baseball video game developed and published by Sony Computer Entertainment. It is the ninth entry of the MLB: The Show franchise. Announced on November 4, 2013, the game will be released on April 1, 2014 for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita. The PlayStation 4 version will be released in May 2014.[1] Detroit Tigers first baseman Miguel Cabrera will be the featured athlete on the cover.[2] As with the previous two entries, Canada will have a unique cover, with Toronto Blue Jays third baseman Brett Lawrie on the cover.[3] Matt Vasgersian, Eric Karros, and Steve Lyons will do the play-by-play action. Mike Carlucci will return as P.A. Announcer.

Among the new features for the game will be:

• Quick Count- Simulates the first few pitches of the at bat for you, based on 2012 and 2013 season's collected info. Can greatly reduce gametime from an average of 90 minutes to under 30.
• Player Lock ("Road To The Show Anywhere")- Works much like RTTS in game, while being available in any game mode.
• Online Franchise- Much like offline franchise, but includes new features for commisioners.
• Diamond Dynasty Extra Innings- Allows teams to play your dynasty team offline through the Universal Profile.
• "Stubs"- MLB 14's in-game currency that can be earned in any game mode, can be used to buy in-game items.
• Universal Profile- Updated for Diamond Dynasty Extra Innings and PS4 additions.
• Year-to-Year saves- Will allow MLB 14 content to be transfered to MLB 15 and so on.
• Community Challenges- Custom basball moments, from history, present, or something made up can be created and uploaded.

• Road to the Show- RTTS will feature more in depth player creation, better advancement system, a pre-draft showcase of some sort, as well as more features to be announced later.
• Re-Tuned UI- Built for the PS4, but used in all three games. Uses a tile-like menu system with a navigation menu below and an outline of modes within each tile, features a quick menu/score ticker below navigaton menu. In game score overlay changed as well.

The main differences between the to games lie in the graphics and polygon counts, as with the PS4 comes more memory.

Of Course the features will still be the same, but MLB 14: The Show for PS4 will just look amazingly real. It's just making something that is already great even better.
