Huskeysoup is a fictional barbershop quartet in Easter Europe, as suggested by the 2006 Musical by script writers 'Glover and Suddaby'. In this epic tale of 'wind in the willows' style humour, the band is attacked by a grizzly bear called Hundini and a patrol of ferocious owls. The storyline is delicate, and subliminally deals with much darker, more draconian issues than its light hearted exterior would suggest. Huskeysoup represent an innocent child, in a world of onslaughts (such as the ferocious owls and the corpse of a naval officer). Although yet to premier on the stage, various performances with songs from the show have been happened with strong reviews. Songs such as 'Angel of the north', 'Massive Cow and the Choppy Sea' and 'Old Age' are representative of the deep, psychological journey that the band seems to methodically go on throughout the musical. It is light hearted and fun, yet represents a much more sincere issue against westernisation and modern culture. Much in the same way as Watership Down.
