My field is American studies, and my Wikipedia content interests usually relate to that central focus.
Wikimedia Global University Program activities
I am a Wikipedia Campus Ambassador for University of Washington, Bothell and University of Washington, Seattle.
In this capacity, I offer partnership to faculty teaching with Wikipedia and provide support to their students. Campus Ambassadors serve as local representatives of the Wikipedia community on college and university campuses.
Campus Ambassadors:
1. Provide face-to-face training and support for students on Wikipedia-related skills 2. Consult with professors around designing and implementing Wikipedia assignments 3. Organize engaging on-campus events to encourage people to edit (and continue editing) Wikipedia 4. Help identify and recruit other interested professors and Ambassadors 5. Represent Wikipedia and the Ambassador program 6. Communicate with other stakeholders (Wikimedia Foundation, fellow Ambassadors, etc.)
