Darise Foster is a 17-year-old female from South Africa. Born in Durban, she now resides in Johannesburg with her mother Candice Foster (formerly Candice Klien) and her step father Alroy Foster. Her biological father left her mother when she was 3, and has since not been a part of her life, although they do see each other accidentally from time to time. As a result of the step father and biological father still being in her life, Darise is technically the eldest of 10 children, her mother birthed 4, her step father has 6, 3 from her mother and 3 from another woman, and her biological father has 3 children but is believed to have children from other women as well.

Born in Durban, South Africa, Darise was born to local model Candice Klien and Dale Derby at the ages of 19 and 20 respectively. After leaving her father's house after Darise's birth, Candice moved in with Dale and his mother and sister. They soon got engaged, but later broke up. As a result of the break up and wanting to make a better life, Candice moved to Johannesburg, leaving Darise with her grandmother while she got herself accustomed to Johannesburg. Darise moved to Johannesburg a year later with her mother and her soon- to- be step father Alroy.

Now in her final year of high school at Allen Glen High School in Johannesburg, Darise aspires o be a broadcast journalist and plans to study journalism at the University of Johannesburg in 2011. Her biological father has come back into her life but they have yet to form a relationship.
