About me
I'm a 30-something year old male living in south-west UK, married with one baby/toddler son. My day job is Technical Authority for The Railway Engineering Company Ltd which is a company that specialises in software for the railways. Using software originally developed by myself, the company now has simulation software to train signallers for over 40 signalling workstations in the UK, and shortly another half dozen in Norway.
My busman's holiday job is SimSig, a freeware signalling simulator. Using knowledge from the industry I've built up a simulator that's used by thousands of users worldwide, and have a team of developers working to produce their own simulation areas.
I'm an Associate of the Institute of Railway Signal Engineers which is an organisation recognised worldwide for its qualifications, and is indeed necessary to be able to work on certain safety-related or safety-critical work in numerous countries.
Wikipedia
I don't have too much to do with Wikipedia except looking stuff up and correcting the odd typo. I'm an apostrophe Nazi so beware!
