Dom G aka Dominant G is also know as pseudonyms such Da Cerebralist or the lyricist. He is very much acknowledged through out the UK Hip Hop world as one of the best in is field .He began his onslaught in legendary spots such as the Borderline's flavour of the month where he would mutilate open-mic sessions in the early nineties. He then made various appearances on Choice FM's Friday night flava, hosted by DJ 279 he soon began to make a name for him self.
DOM-G first emerged on wax in 1997 with 'The whole circumference' regarded as a land mark EP in UK Hip Hop History on Low Life Records along side his sidekick close friend Drew, co-producer of TY's Upward Album (Mercury Award Nominee), together they formed Psychic Phenomena in 1993, it made so many ears prick they managed to acquire themselves a write up in Hip Hop Connection just on the buzz they had generated on the streets.
The EP received large amounts of interest from magazines such as NME, HHC, TRACE, MUZIK and ECHOES.
They released the "Slip Stream" featuring TY on Rumour Records/Stonegroove in 2001, which was then followed by the club banger "Psychic Phenom" in 2003 on Ancient Records. These releases brewed large amounts of radio play right across the board from Radio 1's Tim Westwood, Kiss FM's chubby kids rap show, DJ 279 on Choice FM's Friday night flava, Jenny Frances The lady of soul to Radio 1Xtra's Excalibur, Rodney P & Skits, DJ semtex, Itch FM's Disorder, Bigger man and MK.
Psychic Phenomena finally parted company in 2004. DOM-G perused a solo career releasing ' Feeling me' which followed by Microphone Phenomenal Produced by Keith Lawrence and did performances alongside international acts such as, The Roots, Martin Luther, Cody Chestnut, Master Ace, TY, Estelle, Mystro and Seanie T. His largest crowd performance to date was at Serbia's world famous ExitFest, where he performed in front of 35,000 people with the Unsung Heroes, supporting the likes of Roni Size and Adam F.
DOM-G then unleash his first solo album entitled "Air” in May 2006, which featured artists Zion-I and Nomadic Poet and hosts production from the likes of Exclaibar Scienz of life's I.D.4 Windz, LG, and Zion I's Amp Live. He his currently working on new solo album out later this year.
