I live in metro Los Angeles. I was born and raised in suburban Philadelphia.
I have been a working screenwriter for the past twelve years and have written feature film scripts on assignment for Disney, Goldwyn Films, Hollywood Pictures, Miramax, Propaganda Pictures, Sony Pictures, Warner Bros., and more.
Projects include biography, play, novel, and non-fiction adaptations, as well as original material. I write mostly period scripts and, usually, "biopics." I've also written several full-length plays and have won a variety of prominent national screenwriting and playwriting awards; most recently I won the 2005 Julie Harris Playwriting Award. I recently finished my second novel Skips.
Prior to working as a screenwriter, I was a freelance assignment writer for a number of major consumer and trade magazines and newspapers, writing primarily on business, entertainment, and lifestyle topics. Publication list includes: Premiere, Los Angeles Magazine, The New York Times Syndicate, and many more. Before that, I was a staff editor for a variety of consumer and trade magazines.
Creating new articles on lesser-known topics is my favorite thing to do on Wikipedia. I try to avoid controversial areas on Wiki because, well, if I want to deal with idiots, I know plenty of Hollywood producers I could call.
Some articles I've written on Wikipedia include:
Cooperative Association for Internet Data Analysis
National Industrial Relations Act
Reporters Committee for Freedom of the Press
Senate Subcommittee on Juvenile Delinquency
Shadow Hills, Los Angeles, California
