• Administrator Intervention against Vandalism (AIV)

One of the easiest places to track down vandalism is at Special:RecentChanges - this lists the most recent changes made all over the 'pedia.

Have you enabled Twinkle? You'll find it has a lot of features which make reverting and warning vandals a lot easier. More help on how to use it can be found here. You can then follow these steps:

1. Assess whether the edit was made in good or bad faith. If in good faith, it is not vandalism as such, so question the accuracy of information on the talk page or add a "^{[dubious – discuss]}" tag to the disputed edit. If it is in bad faith, then it is vandalism and you may take the appropriate steps to remove it.
2. Revert the vandalism by viewing the page's history and selecting the most recent version of the page prior to the vandalism. Use an edit summary such as 'rv/v' or 'reverted vandalism' and click on 'Save page'.
3. Warn the vandal. Access the vandal's talk page and warn them by posting an appropriate warning template from the following list. It is not necessary to start with the level one warning, particularly when faced with especially egregious or offensive vandalism, when the vandal has damaged multiple articles, or when the vandal has created an account with no positive contributions across more than one editing session.

2. Report one vandal to WP:AIV, ensuring you follow this procedure - provide the diff of your report below:

3. What would you do if an IP address kept re-adding vandalism after you reverted them? I would warn them on their talk page, and if ignored then report them to AIV. If a lot of IPs were vandalizing a page, I would do an IP lookup to see if they were from a similar location, and share the results on AIV. 4. What would you do if a logged in editor kept re-adding vandalism after you reverted them? Same procedure as an IP editor, but if a lot of users were vandalizing an article at the same time I'd open a sockpuppet investigation. 5. What would you do if an established editor (eg. 1 year old, 100 edits) vandalized a page? This is weird. If there was no prior history of vandalism, it might be a hijacked account, and that would be brought up when reporting the user at AIV after warnings.Y
