DJ Captain Planet was born as the only child Brandon Bridges, 12 October 1984, in Camden, Alabama. During his child hood he seldom move from home to home until finally settling down with his grandmother. As a child, he developed an interest in comic books and aspired to become a video game developer before discovering rap. Upon hearing Bone thug’s -n- Harmony’s East 1999 eternal and several other Midwest artists he started rapping at the age of 11. 

      He Attended school at Wilcox Central High School where he enter several talent shows and rap battles but due to financial constraints was never able to pursue a career in music.  Due to this problem he enlisted in the United States Navy, where he served several years before meeting fellow rap members Boss P and D money in which they formed the Underground rap group Tristate who’s name orgin came from each member being of a different state Boss p (Florida), D money (Arkansas) and himself going by the name Yung Bama (Alabama).  In 2007 after being stationed in Jacksonville, Florida together in the military they released the first Mix tape Interstate Trafficking. The tape was well received even gaining interest from the top DJ’s and radio personalities in the city before being put on hold due to Military change of orders leading to two of the members including himself being reassigned to the middle east Kingdom of Bahrain in which they served in Operation Enduring Iraq Freedom.
      After his completion of contract he was put on hold and was left with the option of continuing his service overseas or returning to the life of a civilian.  He chose the latter in which, he felt was best suited for him after traveling the world and fighting for his country it was time for him to reunite with his family and friends while pursuing a career in music again. Upon his return to Jacksonville, Florida he now attends Columbia College pursuing a Bachelor of arts in English while also self producing with other members the debut of Tri-state’s Second mix tape Interstate Trafficking 2.0 and the comic book/video game inspired Onslaught Productions presents DJ Captain Planet EP in which both are due for a Summer 2012 release.
