Backbench Student(2013) is a Love Story & Coming of age film written and directed by Madhura Sreedhar.The film stars Mahat Raghavendra, Pia Bajpai and Archana Kavi in lead roles. The film is produced by Dr.M.V.K Reddy under Shirdi Sai Combines banner and Presented by Multidimension Entertainments Pvt.Ltd. The music is composed by Sunil Kashyap who has previously given music for Madhura Sreedhar movies "Sneha Geetham" & "It's My Love Story"
Plot This is the story of a Backbencher who failed 16 subjects in engineering, termed useless, and in the saga lost the trust of his family & also his love.
Cast Mahat Raghavendra as Kaarthik, Pia Bajpai as Chaitra, Archana Kavi as Priyanka, Dr.Brahmanandam, Ali, Sharath Babu, Pragathi, Benerji, Madhumani, Vennela Ramaroa, Nikitha etc;
Filming The filming began without much hype on October 11th 2012 at Ramoji Film City & continued in various places in Hyderabad. The Film unit has done 2nd schedule shooting non-stop in Vizag for 20 days. 3rd Schedule again in Hyderabad concluded the film shooting.
Promotional Song Release Promotional song called" Back Bencher" was shot at JNFAU masab tank Hyderabad. The promotional song video was sung & released by "Kolaveri Di" fame ANIRUDH at Prasad lab & Srinidhi institute of engineering & technology, Ghatkesar. Hero Mahat got amazing response for his looks & dance.
Film Release Backbench Student will be releasing late February or early March 2013.
Soundtrack
The soundtracks of the film are composed by Sunil Kashyap. The audio will be releasing on February 14 2013. Lyrics for the songs are penned by Sira Sri and Lakshmi Bhupal.
