Alan Dunne is an Irish born artist living and working in France. Born in 1959 in Galway he is the third child of six to Paddy and Joan Dunne. You may see his very diversified works of art on his personal web pages, Alan Dunne creations. Alan is an self thought artist and in the tradition of brut artist or outsiders is fundamentally different, and is often thought as been dysfunctional in respect of the parameters for normality set by the dominant cultural institutions. Alan works with what he calls the spontaneous mind, letting the objects that he works with take possession of their new identity while he only is the medium through which this transformation takes place. He has for a long time now renounced the imposition of his mind over matter and prefers to work in coherence with the sensuality of materials that he works with. This relationship with the object that he works with is particularly interesting, for the forms and spirit of the objects once finished hold an innate identity of a delicate balance between nature and the adtist] Alan dunne Creations
