Giuseppe Andrese- ( 29 March 1744-13 June 1806 ) was an Italian classical composer , aspiring Catholic, and Oboist. He composed twenty four Oboe concertos, two survived, and wrote a book explaining Oboe techniques, fragments survived, and also often played concerts. He was born in Venice but soon after his birth his family moved Sicily and then to Germany. He learned to play music through local vendors and then chose to play the Oboe. He did not compose music until later in his life , after he got married. His music is not recognised today but the Andrese family in Italy today keeps his music safe for historical purposes and has played his Sixth Oboe Concerto in a concert once in 1924. Decendants live today in Italy, Germany, and the United States.
