Template:SCOTUS URL Docket New/doc

This template produces the URL of docket page at https://www.supremecourt.gov. It automatically switches between two URL formats, the short format used for cases prior to 16-1083, and the longer format used for later cases. The template takes two positional parameters, the first and second half of the docket number.

Users who wish to provide the full docket number with the hyphen should see Template:SCOTUS URL Docket instead.

Usage

{{SCOTUS URL Docket New|first half of docket number|second half of docket number}}

  • first half is the first two digits of the docket number, before the hyphen
  • second half is the remaining digits of the docket number, after the hyphen

Example

{{SCOTUS URL Docket New|16|1082}} produces:

https://www.supremecourt.gov/docketfiles/16-1082.htm


{{SCOTUS URL Docket New|16|1083}} produces:

https://www.supremecourt.gov/docket/docketfiles/html/public/16-1083.html
