Recommendation
This article would have been much better if the article expanded more detailed information about each goal listed in the UN SDG instead of just listing them. The author could have talked about where we are in the process. Also, it would have been better if the author included his/her own perspective on the topic. Also I think the article contains chronological error that it doesn't talk about how sustainable development is currently going on. Sean1084 (talk) 12:09, 2 October 2023 (UTC)
- You seem to confuse this article with the one about the SDGs. This one is not about those UN goals. EMsmile (talk) 20:48, 2 October 2023 (UTC)

I've removed the recently-added content about Ireland as I think that it didn't fit into this high-level article:

National implementation
Ireland
In Ireland, implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals is coordinated through national SDG implementation plans led by the Department of Climate, Energy and the Environment, with national reporting supported by the Central Statistics Office. Ireland's Second National Implementation Plan for the Sustainable Development Goals covered 2022–2024, and Ireland presented its second Voluntary National Review to the United Nations High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development in 2023.[1][2][3]
Education for sustainable development is addressed through ESD to 2030, the country's second National Strategy on Education for Sustainable Development, published in 2022 with an implementation plan for 2022–2026. The strategy applies across early learning and care, school education, further education and training, higher education, youth work, adult and community education, and research. It is organised around five priority action areas: advancing policy, transforming learning environments, building educator capacity, empowering and mobilising young people, and accelerating local-level action. Implementation includes a cross-sector advisory group, annual reporting, and actions to embed sustainable development in curricula, teacher education, whole-institution approaches and youth participation.[4]" EMsmile (talk) 21:57, 31 May 2026 (UTC)
