Talk:Stream (computing)

Proposed merge with Stream (computer science)

I notice that there's a proposal since october 2012 to merge this article with Stream (computer science). I also notice that Stream (computer science) actually redirects to Stream (type theory), which is itself a stub article.

I think it would probably be best to re-format this article with a sub heading containing the information from Stream (type theory) (thus merging that page into this one), redirect this page, Stream (computing), to Stream (computer science), and have Stream (computer science) as the canonical location for both sets of information.

Does anybody else have an opinion on this? I'm not a very prolific wikipedia editor, and a move like that might be a bit much for me to just undertake all on my lonesome --Kiirani (talk) 04:22, 10 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiuation

What is the topic of this article? This is looking a lot like a disambiguation page. We already have Stream (disambiguation). --Kvng (talk) 15:01, 29 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

This article is a broad-concept article, similar to other broad-concept articles such as Rugby union in the British Isles, Finance minister, National Trust, and various others. Per {{Dabconcept}}, it shouldn't be merged to a disambiguation page. --Hirsutism (talk) 17:59, 18 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
