Talk:Stokes vector
Requested move
Per Wikipedia:Naming_conventions#Prefer_singular_nouns, page names should be singular. I would have moved the page myself, but previous edits at Stokes vector have blocked the move—only an administrator can do it.--Srleffler 21:43, 15 December 2005 (UTC)

This was clearly adhering to policy, so I've made the move. --Bob Mellish 21:48, 15 December 2005 (UTC)
Merge?
It seems to me that Stokes vector and Stokes parameters should be merged into a single page. Does this seem reasonable, and if so which of the two names should be chosen for the combined page?--Srleffler 21:54, 15 December 2005 (UTC)
-- I think Stokes parameters is the more suitable name, as they are commonly spoken of separately instead of as part of the Stokes vector. Perhaps the most important thing is that the article(s) be expanded. I'll take a stab at that soon. Gnixon 16:20, 14 June 2006 (UTC)gnixon
I think it sounds like a good idea. The two subjects belong together in my opinion. --Siljebj 09.24, 16 June 2006 (UT)
I have merged the article with Stokes parameters.--Srleffler 00:52, 17 June 2006 (UTC)
I added a large new section to this article which I created along with Gnixon himself, it probably needs better formatting but I feel that the article now has a lot more depth. --69.253.115.66 15:43, 22 July 2006 (UTC)
