Talk:Springs Fire

Springs Fire 2026

It would seem there's a fire in Riverside County, California named "Springs Fire" that is also notable:

It apparently has burned over 4,000 acres so far, only maybe 10% contained, and it is very close to houses in Moreno Valley, California. It would seem there may need to be at least a section about the Springs Fire 2026 in the article about the 2013 Springs Fire. It may be that they get it contained tonight, at which point it may only be a non-notable brush fire, but it seems likely that things are likely to get worse before it gets better. -- RobLa (talk) 04:01, 4 April 2026 (UTC)[reply]

Thankfully, the 2026 Springs Fire appears to be contained and non-notable. I made a couple of tweaks to the Springs Fire article last night which I'll leave in place for now. My autocomplete alerted me of the Springs Fire (2019) redirect. Since "Springs Fire" seems a fairly common name for California wildfires, perhaps links to years that had other "Springs Fire" events is in order. -- RobLa (talk) 04:02, 5 April 2026 (UTC)[reply]
