Spelling
Several legal references I've seen ([4][5]) spell it "reporter's privilege", rather than "reporters' privilege," as used here. Are there some cases where the privilege should be used as referring only a single reporter rather than plural reporters? Or perhaps the singular is more accepted in legal circles, in which case this page should be moved to the correct spelling. --Quantum7 00:52, 9 February 2013 (UTC)
- Your observation appears to be correct.[6] I think it's fair to move it. Chicken Wing (talk) 06:52, 9 February 2013 (UTC)
- The intro should probably have a note that says it is sometimes referred to as reporters' privilege or journalist's privilege. Chicken Wing (talk) 06:55, 9 February 2013 (UTC)
- I tagged Reporter's privilege with {{db-move}} to start the move process. We can fix up the intro afterwards. I did find several credible references which use "reporters' privilege" in their titles (presumably to address the rights of many reporters), but "reporter's privilege" is used exclusively within the text.[1][2][3] I still think that the page should be moved. --Quantum7 00:00, 12 February 2013 (UTC)
- The move occurred while I was drafting the above message on the old talk. I'm including it here for completeness. --Quantum7 00:00, 12 February 2013 (UTC)
