Power of flight for angels?

This introduction describes the "power of flight that angels are thought to have" and then cites an Encylopedia.com article on the Preternatural that doesn't mention flight or flying anywhere in the article. This seems to be a confusion between angels and saints, some of whom are believed to have exhibited a preternatural levitation ability at times. Angels are not corporeal creatures, so flight and flying would be irrelevant in terms of an ontological category of the preternatural, and evokes the image of angels only in popular media and imagination. I suggest changing "angels" to "saints" and citing an appropriate source about levitation. MaxWestEsq (talk) 15:03, 22 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

New stuff goes to the bottom.
If the source does not mention flight, the source is not usable for flying saints either. And the lede is supposed to summarize the article, not introduce new subjects. I deleted the "flying" sentence from the lede. --Hob Gadling (talk) 07:17, 1 June 2026 (UTC)[reply]
