Article Title
I think the article title should be Patlabor series given how the opening line ("Patlabor (a portmanteau of "patrol" and "labor"), also known as Mobile Police Patlabor (Japanese: 機動警察パトレイバー, Hepburn: Kidō Keisatsu Patoreibā)") makes it sound like Patlabor is the equivalent of the original Japanese title, but the series encompasses many works some of which do not use that full original title such as Oshii's novels. Any thoughts? R koiwai (talk) 21:39, 10 May 2020 (UTC)
Proposal to merge Headgear (artist group) into this article
I feel like Headgear aren't notable enough on their own to warrant their own article. The only property they created is Patlabor, and they're only relevant to it specifically. The article itself is also very scant and the whole thing could peobably be placed (with modifications) in the licensing section or a new "history" section, without any issues.
Thoughts?

- Given that this case is both well-made and unopposed,

Hi! Nice meeting you. Didn't realize this was your first GA, so this might be a little more intense than your average GA review, but it's all good!
I'll go point-by-point later, but a few general things to note in advance that might be good to investigate first on your side...
- The lead section seems a bit short. It's the most important thing to workshop in the entire article - many readers ONLY read the lead section. You want a succinct yet comprehensive summary of the full article. Make sure to avoid WP:PEACOCK too - don't include every "critic X said he liked it" and be careful referring to the show as "popular" unqualified, in general.
- A general hard rule of sourcing at the GA level is "at least one citation per paragraph". This isn't needed for things like media lists, where you can have something like "Here is a list of XYZ": and follow it with the relevant media properties. But I'm seeing some cases of paragraphs without a citation that don't seem to fall under this exception (e.g. in Licensing and elsewhere). Might be good to fix before a fuller review.
- Is there any info on production or behind-the-scenes creation that apply to the series as a whole? The answer might be "no" here, but it's worth a look.
- At the GA level, people start nitpicking the citations some. Specifically, is MechaBay really usable? From their old About Page, it sounds like they started via importing Gundam Fandom wiki articles. Maybe it's reliable, but worth a double-check of it and if any other other citations are "just a website."
- Are there more sources on the full series to include in "Reception and legacy"? I suspect that reviews of one specific movie or the like could be argued to really belong on the movie itself's page. SnowFire (talk) 03:44, 28 May 2026 (UTC)
- Hi! Thanks for your comments! This is a good starting point to see what I might have missed, I'll do my best to address them over the next couple days before getting down to proper GA tacks. Sashimi-b (talk) 16:00, 1 June 2026 (UTC)
