Talk:Moonlight Fire

I have a few concerns questions about this article that I would love to learn more about. First off, I'm not sure that it is appropriate to quote a passage that long at the end of the article. I believe that it is against Wikipedia's guidelines, and is borderline plagiarism seeing as it is not sourced, and I am not sure if the source is open or copyright. I would love to see this issue resolved if anybody knows where this came from. Secondly, I believe there is a lot that can be added to this article in terms of the ecological aftermath, as well as forest management practices that were used prior (for example what type of harvesting equipment was being used by the logger, what were the stand conditions like where it started etc), and forest management practices taken during the post-fire period would be interesting as well (i.e. was salvage logging used by SPI). I am also interested in the long-term affects of this on the relationship between SPI and USFS. I do not know if any of this information is available, but I figured that I would post it here in case anybody was interested and wanted to help improve this page! Thanks!! My edit was simultaneous to another person's edit, thus the reversal of their changes when I saved mine. As well, I've sourced the reference to Plumas News, which is the primary (only, actually) newspaper of Plumas County, and is maintaining a well-sourced blog on the fire.Kmmontandon 05:32, 10 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
