motion capture
I'm interested in the hardware section that you added to the Match moving article. However I don't think that what you are describing is strictly match moving but rather the related field of motion capture tracking the camera as well. I think it belongs in the motion capture article. I think that only the introduction, stating the cases when motion capture is neccessary are really appropriate to this particular article. - Actually I rather agree with you, except when you are referring to driving the pose of the characters and cameras so they are in the correct positions, scales and orientations for combining virtual and real objects, Match Moving has become the definition of choice, and rather than create new stubs which people then try to merge, I'm anticipating that Virtual camera tracking and matching CG Objects to real world fitting would be moved here. - The "Tips..." section is an extended how-to article. It seems to me to be well beyond the mission of Wikipedia and is a candidate for deletion.LorenzoB 09:19, 11 October 2006 (UTC)

Merge from camera tracking
@Radagast83: I'm not sure if camera tracking is the same as match moving: these articles were recently merged, but they seemed to describe two different concepts. Jarble (talk) 17:45, 14 January 2021 (UTC)
