Added Citation for the 2nd paragraph about Bede. Included his full name, "Venerable" and linked it. Added Fingerspelling as the name of the form of MCL and timetable for when the MLC was used. Derekrodenbeck (talk) 00:43, 6 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Updated the Paget Gorman Signed System section and cited material. Edited out the dates listed from 1960-1980s due to development being started in the 30s. Also removed an opinion about proto-manually coded language. Hope this helps! Derekrodenbeck (talk) 18:46, 8 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

"represent English on the hands"

The lead has this statement in quotes, though as no citation is given it is not immediately clear what it is quoting. This statement refers to manually coded English rather than spoken languages in general. It would be better replaced with a more general statement rather than a specific quotation about English.
