Merge with hydroxyl?? -- Quantockgoblin 21:37, 20 March 2007 (UTC)
I changed "alcohol functional group" to "hydroxyl functional group", since the term alcohol is not appropriate for inorganic chemistry, where the hydroxy prefix is sometimes applied. --Matt Stoker
suggest move/merge
Should this page be moved or merged with Hydroxyl, which already encompasses the hydroxyl radical and the OH functional group? In its present form, this article would serve better as a dictionary page. --Zolot 00:55, 7 February 2007 (UTC)
- Since it is a disambiguation page pointing to Hydroxyl, it the merge suggestion is no longer needed.--DoSiDo 18:31, 23 September 2007 (UTC)
