Overhaul
Okay, I've pretty much overhauled this page, so that it has a lot more content, but it could definitely use some discussion of the liturgical development of the Gradual, and of post-medieval musical developments. Still, I'm happy; this feels like a big improvement. --Peirigill 10:55, 28 April 2006 (UTC)

Misplaced example graphic
The graphic of "Sanctissimus namque" is misplaced here, as it is not a "gradual" piece - it is a free text set to an adaptation of the melody from the Introit of the First Sunday of Advent, 'Ad te levavi'. It exhibits a relatively simple and non-melismatic melody. Chonak (talk) 21:37, 12 October 2008 (UTC)
