Talk:Dynamic scoping

Merge with...?

I've just rewritten the majority of the discussion here, and it seems to have as much to do with binding as with scoping. Should (instead of the recommended merges) all the pages relevant to this subject be refactored somehow? --Tardis 00:55, 4 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

We just learned about this stuff in my computer science class so I'm by no means an authority, but I don't agree with "refactoring" these scoping articles with binding. They seem to be separate concepts that are strongly related but are still clearly separate. Scoping and binding are given their own sections in the material I've read.Krymson 05:16, 4 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not claiming that scoping and binding are the same thing (I said refactor, not merge everything!), just that it would be a bit odd to merge dynamic scoping into just "scoping" when half of what it talks about is actually more relevant to binding. Is there a way to talk about dynamic scope without it ending up being about dynamic binding? --Tardis 21:52, 4 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]
