Hi There,

The word deepetch is not promoting a company, it is a genuine Australian graphic design term, please click the below links from credible sites that explain the deepetch process, as with most domain names, the company that uses this performs the service of deepetch, similar to retouch.com or photography.com If your still unsure about the term, please refer to the Adobe australian site or the Australian graphic design association would be better bet.

Please visit these links that are unbiased and not linked to any company.

I'm afraid that per Wikipedia's rules these are not credible sites. I suggest you read through our rules on reliable sources which explain why forum posts are not reliable for our purposes, and which sources are. Thanks, Sparthorse (talk) 02:09, 27 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Sparthorse

I have found some more credible sources from the Adobe site and from a couple of books,

Will try to get some more sources shortly.

Content: Heading "Cut outs and Deep etches" >>> Explains that the term deepetch is a graphic design term for cut outs and a letter press term...

I hope this will give the article a chance

Cheers

Solomon

Those are better, thanks for finding them. You'll need to rename the article to "Deep Etch" (use the Move function), add the newly found sources and then remove the links to deepetch.com. The article still may not be kept, because it really is a dictionary definition and Wikipedia articles should not be dictionary definitions. For now I will remove the speedy deletion tag, and the links to deepetch.com. Sparthorse (talk) 03:06, 27 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Looking further, it appears this is just another term for Clipping path, so I've redirected to that article and will add a referenced note about the term Deep etch. Thanks, Sparthorse (talk) 03:14, 27 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
