Hello, my name is Patricia Wagner and I'm an employee of Microsoft. I work in the Cloud+Enterprise division as a content publisher for Visual Studio Team Services, Team Foundation Server, and Application Lifecycle Management products. We are reviewing Wikipedia articles that relate to our areas and would like to update some to better represent the current state and features of our products. Please review the changes below and let me know if they are acceptable to you. Thank you very much for your consideration.
In the "General information" section, please add two lines at the end:
- Team Foundation Server Yes Yes No Proprietary C#, Python and JavaScript
- Visual Studio Team Services Yes No Yes Proprietary C#, Python and JavaScript
In the "Sprint features" section, please add two lines at the end:
- Team Foundation Server Yes Yes Yes No
- Visual Studio Team Services Yes Yes Yes No
In the "Story features" section, please add two lines at the end:
- Team Foundation Server Yes Yes Yes Yes Via plugin No Yes Yes Yes
- Visual Studio Team Services Yes Yes Yes Yes Via plugin No Yes Yes Yes
In the "Task features" section, please add two lines at the end:
- Team Foundation Server Yes Yes No Yes No
- Visual Studio Team Services Yes Yes No Yes No
In the "Integration features" section, please add two lines at the end:
- Team Foundation Server Yes [3] Yes [4] Yes
- Visual Studio Team Services Yes [3] Yes [4] Yes
The "Notes and references" section would then need to be updated to include these two references:
3. ^ Slack with Visual Studio Team Services <ref>https://www.visualstudio.com/en-us/get-started/integrate/service-hooks/slack-and-vso-vs<ref>
4. ^ HipChat with Visual Studio Team Services <ref>https://www.visualstudio.com/en-us/get-started/integrate/service-hooks/hipchat-and-vso-vs<ref>
- Hi there. The Visual Studio seems to be there, and, considering that this has received no feedback whatsoever in nearly one year, I'll just assume that the information is outdated, so adding the team foundation server might work against your intention of keeping the information updated. Add ZenTao ALM to this Scrum software list
ZenTao is an open source project management software developed by an Agile team and fro Agile teams. It is a professional Application Lifecycle Management(ALM), covering the core process of software development.
The design philosophy of ZenTao is based on Scrum, so it fits the fast iterative development of software projects. However, Scrum only defines the core management framework. There are still many details and processes that have to be extended and developed. Based on the philosophy of Scrum and with the observation of the current development situation, ZenTao integrates bug tracking, continuous integration, use story management, document management, etc. In ZenTao, the concepts of product, project, and test are clearly defined. Product team, development team and testing team coordinate and check with each other while they function differently. The three teams interact with each other through stories, tasks, and bugs, and eventually deliver the product with quality.
ZenTao is available on multiple websites, including GitHub. Users can fork the project and customize it via the flexible API it comes with.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Feiteng854 (talk • contribs) 01:57, 14 May 2020 (UTC)
- Feiteng854, software is only added when it has a stand-alone article based on multiple independent sources. Please also make sure to read WP:COI just in case. Thank you. GermanJoe (talk) 09:30, 14 May 2020 (UTC)
