Compatible modern tape media?

Are there any compatible modern tape media that work with this antique device? I picked one up without tape, and I have no idea what is a compatible media to make it work again.

Tape media varies in formulation and magnetic coercivity, which is the tendency for the media to resist magnetic self-erasure. So I can't necessarily just grab some random tape media such as VHS cassette tape, wind it onto the supply reel, and expect it will work.

  • Too low coercivity, and the write head output signal will exceed the signal capacity of the tape and partially erase previously written data as the tape advances.
  • Too high coercivity, such as in modern "high density" data storage media, and the write head will be unable to apply enough magnetic force to write anything to the tape.
