Talk:Bayesian multivariate linear regression

Does this page need to exist given Bayesian linear regression? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Red.devil.ade (talkcontribs) 13:14, 18 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I think there is some confusion here. This page is discussing Bayesian multivariate linear regression, but there is no page on multivariate linear regression from a non-Bayesian perspective. I think people are getting confused between multiple regression and multivariate regression. The former has a scalar as the response whereas the latter has a vector as a response. There is a link to 'multivariate linear regression' but it (wrongly) takes you to 'The General Linear Model' which would be appropriate for multiple regression.

Where are the references?

I'm trying to make some sense out of this article, but there are no citations provided. There are three references listed at the bottom, with no indication of how they are relevant or where they were used in the writing of the article. For example, the results contained in "Posterior Distribution" look like they could be useful, but without citing a reference, it is difficult to confirm or logically follow this result in any meaningful way.

Perhaps the author of this section could point us to specific pages in some literature in which this is discussed? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.173.166.77 (talk) 02:14, 8 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
