History

Founded in 2018 by Andy Baddeley and Adam Tranter, The Running Channel was created with a plan to offer engaging and informative content for runners of all levels. Initially operating as a project under Fusion Media.,[1] the channel became an independent entity in 2019.[2] In 2020, Mike Whitehead joined The Running Channel as a director.[2][3]

The Running Channel quickly grew in popularity due to its relatable hosts,[4] expert advice,[5] and a welcoming approach to all runners.[6]
