Neura Robotics is a German robotics company founded in 2019 by David Reger. The company specializes in developing cognitive and collaborative robots designed to work alongside humans in various industries, including manufacturing, logistics, and healthcare.
History
Neura Robotics was founded on March 26, 2019. In July 2023, the company raised $55 million to enhance research and development, expand its business in Asia and the US, and increase manufacturing capabilities.[1]
In January 2025, Neura Robotics secured an additional €120 million ($123.3 million) in Series B funding to continue developing cognitive humanoid robots in Europe for multiple industries.[2]
Products
Neura Robotics offers a range of robotic products designed for various applications:
- LARA: Introduced in November 2020, LARA is designed for applications in manufacturing, healthcare, logistics, and service industries.[3]
- MAV: A collaborative autonomous mobile robot (AMR) designed to minimize production interruptions and work seamlessly with other products. MAV can carry payloads up to 1.5 tons and is intended for use in industries such as automotive manufacturing.[4]
- 4NE1: A humanoid robot showcased in July 2024, the 4NE1 is a general-purpose humanoid robot designed to perform tasks in both industrial and domestic environments. The robot stands 1.8 meters tall, weighs 80 kg, can carry payloads up to 15 kg, and can move at speeds up to 3 km/h.[5][6]
Partnerships
Neura Robotics has partnered with Kawasaki, which has utilized Neura's platform to develop a series of collaborative robots.[7]
In 2024, Neura Robotics joined the Nvidia Humanoid Robot Developer Program, utilizing Nvidia's Isaac GR00T development platform to accelerate the development and deployment of cognitive and humanoid robots.[8]
In 2025, Neura Robotics joined the SRCI Working Group by PROFIBUS & PROFINET International (PI) in order to develop a standardized interface between Robots and compatible PLCs.
In January 2026, Neura and Bosch announced a strategic partnership to develop and scale humanoid robots for industrial production.[9]
