1- A reliable source for that specific edit should be provided.
2- Copying from maps is strictly prohibited. Maps from mainstream media are approximate and therefore unreliable for any edit. Maps from amateur sources are below the standards of Wikipedia for any edit. They violate WP:RS and WP:CIRCULAR.

- ^ a b When using these symbols on a settlement, create a copy of the settlement in question, replace the image file with the one for your symbol, and increase the size by 2px.
- ^ Meaning that the settlement is "occupied" in that access of goods and people into the settlement and areas surrounding the settlement are controlled by external forces, but they are not present inside of the settlement itself.
- ^ Any battle occurring outside of a settlement.
- ^ Any base or outpost controlled by UNIFIL or the LAF. Always use a marksize of 7px. Get exact locations from OpenStreetMap.
