Junbi Matcha & Tea, or simply Junbi, is a chain of cafes specializing in matcha drinks.[1] The name means "preparation" in Japanese.[2] Based in California,[3] the business previously operated as Sip Matcha.[4]

Among matcha drinks are the Strawberry Matcha and Yuzu Dragon Fruit Matcha.[5]

Locations

In California, Junbi has operated in Livermore,[1] Mountain View,[2] and San Francisco.[6]

The franchise in Hawaii is led by investors David So and Joe Jitsukawa, as well as resident Greg Kobashigawa.[3]

There are also locations in Portland, Oregon,[7][8] Princeton, New Jersey,[9][10] and Richardson, Texas.[11] Junbi began operating in Seattle's Melrose Market in 2025.[12]
