Zucchini bread is a moist kind of quick bread made from zucchini.[1][better source needed] The zucchini is typically unpeeled and shredded[2] with a food processor or a grater. Choosing to remove seeds from the zucchini prior to shredding it can impact the taste, texture, and moisture depending on the maturity of the seeds.[3][better source needed] Zucchini bread can have additional ingredients such as nuts, dried fruit, chocolate chips, and spices.[4][better source needed]
Zucchini bread is made with batter, and not dough. Most of the time the zucchini bread batter is baked in a rectangular or square shaped loaf pan.[5][better source needed] Zucchini bread can also be made into muffins by using a muffin pan.[6][7][8]
