Comment: WP:NCORP typically requires two in-depth reliable sources that are independent of the subject of the article. As far as I can tell, Ref. 2 meets this requirement but we would need a minimum of one more. The other existing references are mostly non-independent (e.g. interviews) or are insignificant coverage (e.g. about products but not the company). WeirdNAnnoyed (talk) 22:07, 19 January 2026 (UTC)

ZIPIT Ltd. is a global product design and manufacturing company specializing in storage cases, bags, and accessories. Founded in 2006, the company is known for its line of cases constructed from a single continuous zipper that can be fully unzipped into a flat strip.[1] ZIPIT products are carried by major retailers including Walmart, Target, Staples, and Office Depot.[2]
History
Founding and early growth
The company was established in 2006 by entrepreneurs Menachem Geber and Amit Raibi.[1] The founders licensed a design concept originating from a 2004 industrial design student project that aimed at transforming two-dimensional objects into three-dimensional forms; the result was a pouch made entirely from a single strip of zipper.[3][4]
Early sales in the United States were conducted through kiosks in shopping malls, including a location at Quincy Market in Boston.[2] In 2008, Itamar Cohen, previously at Check Point Software Technologies, joined as CEO.[2][4] Ronen Kapon joined as VP of Sales in 2010.[3]
Retail expansion
ZIPIT entered the American mass retail market in 2009, with Office Depot becoming the first major retailer to carry the products.[3] The company subsequently expanded distribution to Staples, Target, and Walmart between 2010 and 2012.[2][5] By 2017, ZIPIT products were carried by over 100 retailers across more than 60 countries.[3]
The company distributes in Asia including Japan, the Philippines, Singapore, and Hong Kong. Latin American markets include Mexico, Chile, Peru, Argentina, and Brazil.[5][4]
Products
Single-zipper cases
ZIPIT's primary product line consists of cases in which a single zipper forms the entire body of the case, allowing it to unzip completely into a flat strip.[6] The Wildlings Pencil Box was included in NBC News Select's list of top-rated pencil cases, noting its capacity and machine-washable construction.[6]
Monster line
The company's "Monster" product line features character-based designs with zipper "mouths" creating monster faces.[7] Popular Mechanics included the Monster case in its selection of best pencil cases, describing its "creepy-cute monster smile" design.[7] The Grillz Case became a top seller in Japan, Chile, Germany, and the United States.[3]
ZIPIT introduced Talking Monstar, a line of pencil cases featuring augmented reality technology that allowed the characters to sing and talk via a mobile application.[5][3]
Intellectual property
The company holds 36 patents in the United States, Europe, and China for its designs.[4]
Sales and production
By December 2017, ZIPIT had generated $140 million in cumulative retail sales over a five-year period and produced over 23 million products.[3] The company maintains a design team of five full-time designers at its Tel Aviv studio, supplemented by collaborators in several countries.[3]
Corporate structure
ZIPIT operates offices in multiple countries. The company's North American operations are based in Peabody, Massachusetts.[2] European operations are conducted through ZIPIT Europe GmbH, registered in Neuwied, Germany.[8] The company maintains manufacturing and sales offices in China and a regional sales office in Mexico City.[4][9] Design operations are headquartered in Tel Aviv.[2]
