VidaBox LLC (/ˈviːdɑːbɑːks/; VEE-dah-box) is an American company that produces electronics accessories and mounting hardware. It is headquartered in Plainview, New York, United States. Its products include tablet enclosures and VESA brackets under its VidaMount brand, and Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) to USB charging adapters, switches, and injectors under its VidaPower brand.
History

VidaBox was founded in 2006 in Garden City, New York, USA. The company began with two partners and US$40,000 in capital. Initially, it assembled custom computer systems for media playback, known as Media Centers, based on Microsoft's Windows XP Media Center Edition operating system. It produced the Slim and Lux Media Centers, followed by the Max and Magnum models—creating what multiple publications described as the world's first HD DVD and Blu-ray player in a single unit in October 2006.[1][2][3][4][5]
In 2007, the company added CableCARD functionality to its Media Center PC lineup.[6][7][8]
Notable product lines
VidaBox produced integrated media center PCs in the mid-2000s combining HD DVD and Blu-ray playback, later expanding to models supporting CableCARD. These products were covered by technology publications including Engadget, Audioholics, Gizmodo, and Sound & Vision. In later years, product development shifted toward electronics accessories, including tablet enclosures, mounting hardware, and PoE-based components.
Product focus
The company’s product offerings have emphasized integrated hardware solutions designed to consolidate multiple functions into single systems. Early products centered on media center PCs incorporating optical disc playback, storage, DVR integration, and cable support. Later product lines focused on tablet enclosures, VESA-standard mounting hardware, and PoE adapters intended for fixed-installation environments.
Markets and applications
VidaBox products have been used in fixed-installation contexts where tablets function as dedicated interfaces, including business environments, media centers, and automation-oriented installations.
Operations
According to the company’s official site, VidaBox states it operates warehouses in the United States, Canada, the European Union, the United Kingdom, and Australia to support worldwide shipping.[9]
